Call Darlene.
Every good shop has a Darlene. She answers your website at 2am, keeps the schedule straight and tells the crew where to be in the morning.
Call Darlene is a simple office app for small plumbing, HVAC and electrical shops. Your name on it, your crew on it, set up for you.
Water heater leaking in the basement. Booked her Tues 9am. Address is on your schedule.
What Darlene does all day
Everything a three to five person shop actually uses. Nothing you have to take a class for.
- Answers your website, day and night
- A chat on your site answers questions about your shop, offers visit times and hands you the real leads. She knows your service area and your hours because you tell her once.
- Keeps every lead in one list
- Website forms and chats land in one place, and your phone buzzes when somebody new reaches out or nobody has called them back.
- Runs the schedule
- Site visits, jobs and reminders before each one. Anyone in the office can book, and the crew sees it on their phones.
- Tells the crew where to be
- A crew board with one line per person: who's going where today. No more 6am group texts.
- Remembers every customer
- Address, photos, notes and past work, so whoever answers the phone knows it's the house with the old boiler.
- Wears your name
- It's your shop's app with your name and colors, not ours. Customers and crew never see "Call Darlene" on it.
- Works on any phone
- iPhone, Android, tablet or the office computer. Add it to the home screen from the browser, no app store needed.
- Is easy on everybody's eyes
- Each person can turn up the text size, switch to colors made for colorblindness, use high contrast or pick a font that's easier with dyslexia.
Turn on what fits your shop
Every shop runs a little different, so the extras are switches. Use them or don't.
- Booking links customers use to pick their own visit time
- One-tap Google review asks after a job
- Materials lists rolled up into one supply house run
- Estimates, invoices and who still owes
- Follow-up reminders for quotes that went quiet
- Monthly reports on jobs, sales, leads and reviews
- Reminders when a customer's equipment is due for upkeep
- Vacation and holiday blocks so nobody gets booked
- Nightly backups to your own Google Drive
How getting set up works
- Tell us about your shop. Fill out the form below. We'll call you back to talk through how your office runs today.
- We set it up for you. Your name and colors, your crew's logins, your customer list moved over and the website chat hooked into your site.
- Everybody adds it to their phone. We'll walk the crew through it. It takes about two minutes each.
- Darlene goes to work. Something not working the way your shop works? Tell us from inside the app and we fix it.
One price. No contract.
You pay monthly and can stop any time. If you stop, you get your customer list and job history back as a spreadsheet.
More than 5 people in the shop? Tell us about it and we'll work out a price that makes sense.
Call Darlene or Jobber?
Jobber is a good product. It's also built for shops that want to grow into a lot of software. Darlene is for the shop that wants the office handled and the price to stay small.
| Call Darlene | Jobber | |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly price | $99 | $199 (Connect) or $299 (Grow) |
| AI that answers customers | Website chat, included | AI Receptionist, $29 a month more |
| Whose name is on the app | Yours | Jobber's |
| Setup | Done for you | You set it up, with help on the bigger plans |
| Card payments and QuickBooks sync | Not yet | Yes, on Connect and up |
| Contract | None | None on monthly billing |
When Jobber is the better pick: you want customers paying by card through the app, your books synced to QuickBooks, or you're past ten people and need job costing. That's real software for a bigger operation, and it's priced like it.
Jobber prices are from getjobber.com/pricing, checked October 19, 2026, for 2 to 5 people billed monthly. Jobber is a trademark of its owner and isn't connected to Call Darlene.
Questions shops ask
Is it a real app or a website?
Both. It runs in the browser, and when you add it to your home screen it opens full screen with its own icon and sends phone alerts like any other app. There's nothing to download from an app store and nothing to update.
Does it work on Android?
Yes. Android, iPhone, tablets and computers all get the same app.
We don't have a website. Does the chat still work?
The chat lives on a website, so you'll want one. If you don't have one, C2C Digital builds sites for trade shops and can get you one. Everything else in the app works without a site.
Who's behind this?
Call Darlene is made by C2C Digital in West Michigan. It started as the office app for a family-run plumbing shop here, and it runs their office every day.
What happens to our stuff if we stop?
It's yours. You can turn on nightly backups to your own Google Drive any time, and if you cancel we send you your customers and job history as a spreadsheet.
Does my crew need email addresses?
Each person gets their own login, and an email address makes password resets easy. If someone doesn't use email, we can text them a reset link instead.
